When you use Podcast Alpha, we collect:

• Account information: Email address and account credentials, managed by Clerk (our authentication provider)
• Payment information: Billing details processed by Stripe. We never store full payment card numbers
• Consent records: Timestamp, IP address, and version of disclaimer accepted when you agree to our terms
• Session data: Encrypted session cookies to maintain your authenticated state
• Usage data: Cloudflare Analytics collects anonymized traffic data (page views, geography) without cookies or personally identifiable information

2. How We Use Your Information

• Authenticate and maintain your account
• Process and manage your subscription
• Maintain a record of your consent to our disclaimer (legal compliance)
• Communicate important account or service updates
• Improve the Service through anonymized analytics

3. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We share data only with:

• Clerk: Authentication and user management (clerk.com/privacy)
• Stripe: Payment processing (stripe.com/privacy)
• Cloudflare: Infrastructure, CDN, and analytics (cloudflare.com/privacypolicy)

4. Cookies

We use the following cookies:

• pa_session: Encrypted authentication session (HttpOnly, required for access)
• pa_consent: Records your disclaimer acceptance (HttpOnly)
• Clerk may set additional cookies for session management as part of the authentication flow

We do not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking cookies. Cloudflare Web Analytics is cookieless.

5. Data Retention

• Account data: retained for the duration of your account plus 90 days after deletion
• Consent records: retained for 7 years (legal compliance)
• Payment records: retained per Stripe's policies and applicable law
• Session cookies: expire after 7 days of inactivity

6. Your Rights

You may request to access, correct, or delete your personal data by contacting us. For data held by Clerk or Stripe, please contact those providers directly.

7. Security

We use industry-standard security measures including encrypted cookies, HTTPS, and Cloudflare's security infrastructure. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure.

8. Children

The Service is not directed to individuals under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from minors.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy periodically. We will notify active subscribers of material changes by email.
